My obsession with Avocado is truly something else. I’ve heard people say it’s tasteless, bland, and etcetera. I feel bad for everyone that feels so! Avocados are life. The secret is in seasoning the Avocado. You need to add at least a drizzle of olive oil, sea salt & fresh pepper, for it to taste right! More on the seasoning bellow.

I eat Avocados every single day; one per day. Never miss it. We all know it’s benefits and how is considered top 5 foods we need to eat. But did you know about the effects it has on your skin? You all know healthy fats like oily fish, olive oil, coconut oil, avocados, and nuts are good for the skin. But the combination of Avocado and Cucumber is probably the single best thing you can intake for your skin! You can put the most expensive creams on your face, do the peels, lasers, see the plastic surgeon all you want, but you’ll do the best favor to your skin with eating the right food.

The combination of Avocado and Cucumber is the most powerful combination for healthy, glowy, ageless skin. The easiest way to make it? Avocado/Cucumber toast! We suggest to make it on slightly toasted multi-grain bread (avoid whole wheat, as wheat has loads of gluten and it makes you puffy), add a bit of mint, lemon, sea salt, pepper, and you can add a drop of olive oil and/or red pepper flakes.

Why is it the superpower combination for your skin? Because it contains good fat from the Avocado, vitamins and hydration from the Cucumber, anti-oxidants from the Mint and Vitamin C from the Lemon!

How to make it:

  • Cut avocado at half. Take the pit out. Slice it while still inside the skin. Take the knife, place it between the skin and avocado, swirl, and take it out in the bowl.
  • Peel the cucumber (use the potato peeler, its super cheap and handy for so many things). Place the shaved slices into the bowl.
  • Season it with sea salt (I use Pink Himalayan Salt), fresh pepper, red pepper flakes if you like things a bit spicy, drop of olive oil, and squeeze half lemon to the mix.
  • Mix it all together, and place it all on lightly toasted bread.
  • If you, like me, don’t like dry bread, you can use some dip to put on the bread before you place the Avocado-Cucumber mix on it. You can do Hummus, or Tahini sauce.

Eat this as Lunch, Dinner or a snack 2-3 times a week and see the difference in your skin!
